Box of Overflow
Introduction
In this assignment, I wanted to use CSS to capture the aura of fall. To achieve this, I used a pleasing pallet of orange-brown colors for the background, including a gradient in some places. Additionally, I used custom web fonts to achieve crisp lettering throughout the site. Hope the arrangement puts you in the right mood. Almost all of the elements on the site are given their appearance using CSS, including the background gradient, the scrolling navigation bar, which stops when you hover over it, the header, including the rounded corners (it's not an image!), the semi-transparent body, and the gradient-filled footer.
First on this site is the Page of Absolutes, where I show off absolute placement tricks. Then I have the Box of Overflow, filled with text, some editable, some not, all in boxes way too small to hold them! Lastly, I have the Style Gallery, where I show even more CSS feats. P.S., many of the CSS features I am using are very new, and therefore require the use of non-standard extensions to achieve cross-browser support. However, this will keep my CSS from validating, as it references properties outside of the Cascading Style Sheets specification. This is just a consequence of living on the cutting edge.
